TWOMF - Episode 19 - Valentine's Day Special / Love and the Coronavirus
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Love is in the air... Or, it should be. Michael and Nightingale visit Wuhan Noodle 1950 at 3621 Hwy 7, Unit 119 in Markham to support them and talk about how they, as well as Asian businesses and communities in general in Toronto and the GTA, are the targets of anti-Asian discrimination due to fear stemming from the current coronavirus situation. This episode is a call to action for people everywhere to show some love to the Asians in your communities. Asians are not the face of the coronavirus outbreak. Hate will not fight this virus and certainly won't prevent you from contracting it. Educate yourself. Practice proper hygiene and take the same kind of preventative measures you'd normally take to not get the flu. And, show love. Love may not kill the coronavirus, but it certainly will kill the other disease spreading quickly in our communities - Hate. (Update: Statistics in our episode are from February 6th, 2020. As of February 10th, total confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Canada is 7 with no deaths. There are 40,554 cases and 910 deaths worldwide. Deaths outside of China still sits at 2.)
